About Zach Carter

Zach Carter is a gifted and well-trained violinist beyond his years. He began his musical endeavors in 2010 under Mr. Timothy Carroll. Over the years, he has been under the tutelage of Professor Benjamin Shute of the University of Oklahoma and Philadelphia Orchestra's violinist, Richard Amoroso. He is currently studying under Lee Snyder, an instructor to many former students attending Curtis and Julliard.  More recently, he completed a masterclass with the world renown violinist, David Kim, concertmaster of the Philadelphia Orchestra.

His accomplishments are many.  Zach was runner-up for the 2019 Delaware School of Music concerto competition. He participated in the Delaware 2019 All-State Orchestra and Choir and was selected as concertmaster at the 2019 Csehy international summer music program.  He  has also performed in the Chester County Youth Orchestra.  He serves on the adult worship team at his church and has received invitations to perform at special events. In 2017, he was elected to serve as concertmaster for Lebanon-Lancaster County Music Educators Association, a one-day festival that gathers talented musicians across both counties for an impressive performance. He has been invited to attend masterclasses at Cairn University and The Settlement School of Music. He also attended a workshop given by Conductor/Dr. Brian Norcross of Franklin & Marshall College. He enjoys donating his time to local retirement homes, and homeless shelters where music is soothing to those facing hardships. He continues to receive open door opportunities to play in small orchestras conducted by experienced musicians and composers.

Zach attends Delaware Valley Classical School, formerly Tall Oaks Classical School, in New Castle, DE and is the lead violinist and concertmaster for the school advanced orchestra ensemble over the past six years. Outside of his music world, he is a first-degree black belt martial arts assistant instructor and a six-time Science Olympiad medalist. He has visions to help young musicians develop their passion.

Community Outreach

Not uncommon will one find Zach ministering to individuals in challenging situations. He has spent time with members of Sunday Breakfast Mission, a homeless shelter in Wilmington, DE. He enjoys making music at retirement communities, and putting smiles on those recuperating in the hospital. Zach hopes to serve the inner city communities and offer scholarships to families desiring to learn music but cannot afford the cost.
